With a passion for the outdoors, he grew up mountain biking, skiing, fishing, and playing various sports such as baseball and hockey. His love for angling, a lifelong devotion, began at the age of ten, when he started fly fishing the trout streams near his home. Early on, he embraced the art of fly tying, thus embarking on a journey of skill refinement and exploration. Garrett enjoys targeting trout, salmon, pike, and New England’s coastal species, with a primary focus on trout. Garrett chases large trout through all methods of fly fishing, though is particularly fond of tightline nymphing. The intricacies of fly fishing captivate him, presenting each day on the water as an invaluable learning opportunity.
