The Deerfield River Fishing Report for 11/9/19: What can I say other than the fishing remains solid ! Brown trout are spawning on the Deerfield and eggs are winding up in the drift making for fast fishing on egg eating rainbows. There are browns to be caught for sure but I dont target browns that are on redds spawning- just an ethical issue that helps insure that spawning fish are successful. Egg patterns are definitely the go to flies right now, experiment with color and you’ll find a winner. If you’ve never tied an egg pattern check out my tightline clown egg tutorial on this website- tie that in multiple colors and sizes and you’ll be catching in no time.
