Fall foliage on the Deerfield!  The Deerfield River Fishing Report for 10/27/19: The fishing on the Deerfield has been amazing over the last two weeks with many double digit days. There’s been a nice BWO hatch ( 20-22) practically every afternoon and that will continue for another week possibly two. Light tippets and precise casts are required-if you can make the cast you’ll catch the fish. Nymphing under indicators has been the go to technique with attractors like mops and san juans working as well as tiny bwo nymphs and emergers like the WD-40. Browns are starting to spawn around Fife Brook and eggs are starting to work up there- expect that to increase in the coming weeks. I have some openings so give me a call-the amazing fishing will continue right into early December.
